This is a ritualistic abhishek (ceremonial bathing) of Lord Shiva using Vedic mantras. It is especially performed on Mondays, Pradosh, and Shivratri. It can also be performed on birthdays, anniversaries, for wealth, knowledge, career growth, and divine blessings.
